Notice is hereby given in compliance with Georgia Code 22-2-109 and 32-3-5 that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the Location and Design of this project.

The date of location and design approval is:  June 1, 2021 

This project is proposed to replace existing bridge on CR 454/Lambs Bridge Road @ Canoochee Creek approximately 4.4 miles southeast of the city of Swainsboro. This project is located in GMD 53 and has a total project length of 0.4 miles.

The proposed project will replace the existing bridge on a parallel alignment, and widen the existing two lane roadway shoulder. The proposed bridge will be slightly raised, and increased to a span length of 300 feet. The existing roadway will expand from two 12-foot lanes with 5-foot shoulders, to two 12-foot lanes

 with 10-foot shoulders (6.5-foot paved). Traffic on the existing bridge will remain open for the duration of the 9 month construction process.
