The ECI Lady Dawg had a rare one game week. Tuesday, they hosted Portal, taking the game 2-0 to remain undefeated in region play. Both pitchers in the game were dealing as they say. The only mistake by either pitcher was a 2-run homerun by Charla Clifton in the bottom of the first inning.
Kelsey Harper was on after an error and Clifton put the Bulldogs ahead with all the runs they needed for the day.
Clifton and the Lady Dawg defense were 2 errors away from a perfect game with the senior pitcher no hitting the Panthers giving up no walks during the game. Ally Taylor had the multiple hits for the Bulldogs with 2. Clifton and Kayanna Thompson had the other 2 hits for ECI.
The Lady Dawgs have a busy week coming up. Tuesday, (yesterday), they hosted McIntosh Co. Thursday they will travel to Mt. Vernon to take on the Eagles from Montgomery Co. This weekend, you will find them in Loganville Ga. playing in the Grayson High School tournament.
