Know peace

As we continue to live in this world of unrest, kiosks, and confusion, there is one sure stable thing, that is the Word of God. Yes, you might be overwhelmed by viruses, sickness, diseases, hatred, hardships and yes, the unstable government, but I am here to remind you that there is peace on earth.  Even in the midst of the storms in your personal life, there is peace to be found.  I read a sign recently which stated, "Know Jesus, know peace. No Jesus, no peace." That said it all. When  you search the scriptures, you will find that God is a God of peace, he is not the author of confusion. (I Cor. 14:33)

Also, in St. John 14:27 Jesus tells us, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled,  neither let it be afraid."  Jesus came and left peace on this earth.  At the birth of Jesus, the  angels sang, "Peace on earth and goodwill toward all men."  Yes, Jesus came to give peace to all men.  So, let us not forget that peace abides in Jesus. He is our peace. So, don't be tossed with every wind of instability which comes your way.  Don't put confidence in governments but put your faith and trust in God. For he reminds us to have no confidence in the flesh but have confidence toward God.

Now we are living in a time where your only hope of peace is in Jesus.  For Isaiah  55:6-7 says to, "Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.  Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him: and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."

He goes on to say in verses eight and nine, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,  neither are my ways your ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."

So, in order to acquire the peace that Jesus has left for us, we must stop having things our way and do things God's way.  No, it does not start with the president or the priest nor the pastor or other members of the church, not the government or the community. It starts where you are, right now, within your heart.  For the word says, let every man examine himself.  If everybody has peace within, then all homes will be peaceful.  The community  then the world would be at peace.  For the word of God says, "Blessed are the peacemakers  for they shall be called the children of God".  So that brings us back to the beginning.  It is time for you to truly know Jesus and know peace because no Jesus,  no peace.
