Kiwanis feeds Summer Reading Program kids

Posted

The Swainsboro Kiwanis Club prepared a lunch of grilled hot dogs, chips and cookies at the Vann Community House for the Franklin Memorial Library Children's Summer Reading program at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 29.
The Emanuel County Farm Bureau presented a program, For the Love of Pets. A police dog, service dog, therapy dog and their handlers entertained 54 children and their parents. Lunch was then served.
The Farm Bureau donated hotdog buns and Friends of the Library donated drinks. This lunch is an annual event that the Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro provides to the kids for the end of the Summer Reading program each year.
