Kiwanis Butter Bean Auction

The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting, Tuesday night, May 3, at 7 p.m. at The Rustic Grille. With President Dianna Wedincamp presiding, there were 29 in attendance, including two guests, Calder Ward and Erin Ward. The rum cake, donated by Anita Cerpovicz, was won by Dess Smith. The Domino's pizza, donated by Domino's Pizza, was won by Tim Goodman. Chair Tim Goodman thanked everyone who helped time the TCE Jr. Beta Club 5K Run held at George L. Smith II State Park on Saturday, April 23.  

The program for the evening was hosted and presented by Cayla Scarboro. Members and guests took part in a Butter Bean Auction and were all given 20 butter beans to bid on items. The winners were President Wedincamp for an oven mitt, Scotty Hattaway for a USA door hanger, Erin Ward for a crossword puzzle book, Jane Durden for a refillable coffee cup, Paul Cerpovicz for a grill brush, Mary Ellen Smith for an American flag and a patriotic scarf, Windy Ward for a welcome windmill, Travis Garrett for a large print word search book, Pepper Fields for a "Land of the Brave" shopping bag, Wanda Ellis for a matching set of mustard/ketchup dispensers, and John David Bailey for a bag of popcorn with a container.
