Kenneth Lee “Shorty” Williamson, 83


Mr. Kenneth Lee “Shorty” Williamson, 83, of Soperton passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Meadows Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Graveside service Sunday, April 25, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Hal Wilson officiating. The family received friends from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Landrum Hodges, Mark Mimbs, Waylon Jones, Johnny Crosby, Peewee Wilson, and Ty Hardy.
Mr. Williamson was born March 8, 1938, in Oak Park, to the late E.L. Williamson and Edna Earl Durden Williamson. Mr. Williamson was a retired truck driver and mechanic. He loved hunting, fishing, and was an avid race fan, and loved to watch Westerns on Sunday afternoons. Mr. Williamson is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bobby Williamson; and sister, Janice Rogers.
Survivors include his nephews, Terry (Sue) Edenfield of Soperton and Craig (Jami) Williamson of Adrian; sister, Phyllis Williams of Swainsboro; serval nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
