July 28 coronavirus count: 84

According to the county commissioners’ noon update before press time Tuesday, July 28, the total active cases of COVID-19 in Emanuel County has jumped to 84.

There have been 406 total confirmed cases. Of those confirmed cases, 317 patients have recovered while five have died. Altogether, 3,164 patients have been tested; 243 of those patients are awaiting results.

Tuesday’s active count of 84 indicates an increase from last week. The active count on Tuesday, July 21, stood at 44. Since then, the count has continued to increase.

The comprehensive numbers for July 21 were as follows:

  • 44 active cases
  • 281 confirmed cases
  • 233 recovered patients
  • 4 deaths
  • 2,842 total patients tested
  • 346 patients awaiting results

The overall upward trend of active cases has, for the most part, been ticking upward by the day from July 21 to the active count of 84 on July 28. Specifically, there were:

  • 47 active cases on Wednesday, July 22
  • 46 active cases on Thursday, July 23
  • 55 active cases on Friday, July 24
  • 74 active cases on Monday, July 27

Data is not reported on the weekends.

The death count maintained at 4 since June 19 until last Thursday, July 23, when it added another 1 deceased person to bring that total to 5.
