It's Time to Plant

Posted

As winter leaves us, we know that springtime is near. Spring is here. I see the birds more and hear them chirping. As I ride along, I watch land being prepared for planting gardens and crops. This is also the time of year for spring showers.

Most people like spring because things we thought were dead comes back to life. I watch the pastures and see baby animals being born. The baby chicks and rabbits are always fascinating. Flowers begin to bud and fruit trees begin to blossom. I even enjoy the smell of land being harrowed and cultivated. Yes, Spring breaks the feelings of depression because there are signs of life again.

Just as I am excited about the plantings and sowing of the natural seeds for us to have food, I am most excited about revivals and the planting of God's word. O, Yes, it is fascinating to see God's word bringing revival. In Isaiah chapter fifty-five God makes a universal plea for everyone to come to him. He invites the thirsty, the hungry and even those without money to come. He says to hear his word and your soul shall live.

In Isaiah 55:10-12 God declares that his word will produce. It will grow and accomplish what he sends it to do. He says just like the rain and snow comes down and waters the earth to make the seeds produce so we can have food to eat; the same way his word will give us peace, joy and a productive and life. So, plant the word of God today in your heart. It doesn't matter those things have been going rough for you, let the word of God bring revival and lift your spirit.

For Jesus said in John 10:10,"The thief comes but for to still, and to kill, and to destroy I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

Let the word of God be planted in you so you can have that abundant love, peace and joy. Yes, it is time to plant. It's time to plant God's word and He will bring the increase.
