On February 2, 2025, at 7:19 p.m., officers were called to Emanuel Medical Center in reference to a gunshot wound. A 46-year-old female with a Swainsboro address had been struck in the left lower leg by a projectile from a firearm. Possibly related to a domestic violence case. One individual has been arrested in this case and the investigation is ongoing.
