Housing Authority of City of Swainsboro provide bus stop shelters

Thank you to the Housing Authority of the City of Swainsboro for seeing and meeting the needs of students in Emanuel County Schools. Executive Director Trent Hall said, “A few months ago, we came by and saw some kids out in foul weather waiting on the bus, and we decided we could do better.” He explained that he went back to the office, punched some numbers, and decided to install some bus stop shelters for the children and residents to protect them from the weather. Thanks to this project, students will not begin their school day boarding a bus with wet clothing.

Three shelters are fully installed, two on Racetrack Street and one on Gumlog Street. He plans to put a second one on Gumlog Street and more on some other sites.
