Hometown Public Servant: Emanuel County Public Works Director Justin Morris

Posted

This week’s Hometown Public Servant is Justin Morris. Last week, it was announced that Morris has been promoted to serve as Emanuel County’s new public works director. Prior to this promotion, Morris has served in various positions for the county – his most recent title being a county building and code enforcement officer.
As public works director, Morris will oversee the road department, fleet maintenance, facility maintenance, solid waste and the transfer station. When asked about his recent promotion, Morris’ response was nothing short of a humble public servant.
“I’m both humbled and honored to serve as public works director of Emanuel County. I’m looking forward to this challenging and exciting opportunity. I also want to thank you for the support that’s been given; it is greatly appreciated.”
Morris and his wife, Chelsie, have been married for nine years and share love for their two children, Tucker and Mollie.
