The Emanuel County Historic Society is planning an Open House Saturday, October 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no charge for admission. The Society encourages all to come see what the county's history is like. There are buildings and items from 1860s through 1925. ECHS has completed the Stevens Crossing Post Office building and many others. The society is located across from the Jaycee Fairgrounds at 161 Museum Road.
