Swainsboro High School baseball player, River Greene, has been selected among the top players from four regions of Georgia, to play in the 2023 All Star-All State Baseball Tournament. Coaches and Scouts from across the state hand selected Greene as a premier player from within the CSRA. Greene just celebrated his 17th birthday and is a SHS graduate of the class of 2023. He has played baseball as for the Tigers throughout the duration of his high school career as well as all three years of middle school. Prior to that, he also played in the Dixie Youth League and participated in the Dixie Youth League World Series in both Louisiana and Arkansas.
When asked about how he feels to be invited to play in such an incredible tournament, Greene said:
“It is not difficult to excel at something when you have as much passion as I do for the game of baseball."
The tournament will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023, at Mercer University.
