Grand Jury returns 19 True Bills

The October 2021 term of Emanuel County Grand Jury reconvened Friday, November 19, and considered 19 bills of indictment presented by the District Attorney’s Office. The grand jurors returned true bills for all cases as follows:

Jamee Eric Welch – one count making a false statement and one count improper burning.

Angela Nichole Henderson, Christopher Seven Hickman, Danny Gerald Hickman, Justin Neil Hutchinson and Tonya Lynn Ryan – One count trafficking methamphetamine (all defendants), One count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute (all defendants), One count possession of drug related objects (all defendants), One count criminal use of an article with an altered identification mark (all defendants) and One count tampering with evidence (Henderson only).

Jesse Eugene Ervin – One count possession of fentanyl, One count possession of alprazolam, One count possession of clonazepam, One count possession of a drug related object, One count driving under the influence of a drug, One count failure to carry license, One count improper tag display, One count seat belt violation, One count failure to maintain lane and One count improper tires.

Samuel Anthony Worthington – two counts aggravated assault (family violence), One count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, One count battery (family violence) and one count cruelty to a child in the third degree.

Eric Mitchell Smith – One count burglary in the first degree, one count aggravated stalking, one count possession of methamphetamine, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, one count simple assault (family violence), two counts cruelty to a child in the third degree and one count criminal trespass.

Eric Mitchell Smith – Two counts aggravated assault (family violence) and one count battery (family violence).

Nazarene Darr Harmon and Anthony Stephens Rich – one count trafficking methamphetamine, one count possession of marijuana (less than one ounce) and one count possession of drug related objects.

Johnathan Allen Lamb – One count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count possession of marijuana (less than one ounce).

Jonathan O’Neal Smith – One count burglary in the second degree and one count giving false information to a law enforcement officer.

Norman Jackson Samples – One count theft by shoplifting.

Travis Lee Rowland – One count trafficking methamphetamine, one count possession of fentanyl, one count possession of oxycodone, one count possession of hydrocodone, one count possession of alprazolam, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, one count possession of sildenafil, one count possession of a drug related object, and one count possession of driving under the influence of drugs.

Darrian James Worthen -- one count possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Steven Justin Thames -- one count burglary in the first degree, one count theft by taking and one count interference with government property.

Verlon Wadley, Jr. – two counts aggravated assault, two counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Jonathan Clarence Tillman – One count aggravated assault, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Lashawna Marie David and Nathaniel David a.k.a. Nathaniel Davis – Two counts malice murder (both defendants), two counts felony murder (both defendants), three counts aggravated assault (both defendants), one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony (both defendants), one count possession of a knife during the commission of a felony (both defendants), one count possession of an illegal weapon (both defendants), one count concealing the death of another (both defendants), two counts tampering with evidence (LaShawna David), and two counts tampering with evidence (Nathaniel David/Davis).
