God's Word

Each one of us often looks for things to strengthen and encourage us when we are a low point. When we are tired, thirty and hot, we look for something to refresh us . In this human body we need  to be physically, emotionally and spiritually refreshed. Believers are asked look to the Word of God to just these things.
There is a story about Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness. This temptation took place after He fasted  for 40 days and 40 nights. At the end of the 40 days, Satan tempted Jesus. Satan’s desire for the Son of God to fail in his mission to redeem mankind. The devil tried to tempt Jesus by misquoting scriptures several times. Though it was only a little twisting of God’s Word, it was not how God said it. Therefore, Jesus responded to Satan by correctly quoting  the Scriptures. Satan tempted Jesus by telling him he could turn stones into bread. "Jesus answered, ’It is written: "Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." His Word works. Satan left Him for a season. Jesus needed to be strengthened. Then the angel  came and refreshed Him by ministering the Word.  God's Word always refreshes us and gives us a better outlook we have toiled with something and was victorious.

In Matthew 5:6 it is said that we are blessed when we hunger and thirst after righteousness: for we shall be filled. This fulfillment helps us to not give up. Once God's Word is seeded into a person's heart, it refreshes us to be more and more like Christ. Once it tasted and we see that it is good, we seek to have more and more. It becomes a prescription that is use whenever a problem occurs. Once it is taken,  it soothes the ailment. One thing about this prescription, it has no side effects.  It never fails.

God's Word is always fulfilling. In Isaiah 55:11 it is stated, " So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." We know that not one of  promises the Lord God gave has ever failed. In everything we need, we can use God's Word. Be encouraged and know it fits any situation at any time.
