George “Jimmy” Hannah, 74

George “Jimmy” Hannah, 74, was born August 1, 1946 to the late Daisy Mae Hannah and Hershel Bell. He gave his life to Christ and on September 14, 2020 he gained his wings and was called to his eternal home to rest in the arms of Jesus. Celebration of Life was held Saturday, September 26 at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Church with Minister Gary Pelham officiating.

Mr. Hannah attended Emanuel County schools, and later went to pursue his trade working as a carpenter for the carpenters union. He later retired from the carpenters union of Hawaii in 2010. Mr. Hannah continued working doing the things he loved until he began to fail in his health. He was loved by many and he never met a stranger.

Mr. Hannah is proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Young; and brothers, Charles Bell and Hershel Bell, Jr.

Mr. Hannah leaves to cherish his loving and devoted wife, Marlene Hannah; daughter, Jennifer Montgomery (Adolphus III) of Daytona Beach, FL; grandchildren, Nalani Montgomery and Adolphus Montgomery IV; sister, Bonnie Mitchelle of Miami, FL; brothers, Adel Bell (Sharon) of Atlanta and Otis Hannah of New Jersey. He leaves loving memories to a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that he loved unconditionally.
