Franklin Memorial Library’s Summer Reading Program

Posted

The first three weeks of this year's Summer Reading Program have been a great success! All of the programs planned and hosted by Franklin Memorial Library and sponsors have had wonderful participation numbers. Their favorite program is the children’s activity sponsored by the Emanuel Arts Council. The Council brought in a truly wonderful instructor, Ms. Terrie Daniels, who prepared a bookmaking activity. The children put together their very own dream books, and at the end of the program, everyone left looking inspired and excited to start really manifesting these dreams of theirs. There was some really amazing and authentic artwork made as a result of this class, and Ms. Terrie did such a wonderful job making sure each child felt seen and thoroughly encouraged to pursue their creativity. She helped each of them find their inner artists. Thank you, Terrie, and thank you to the Emanuel Arts Council for making this possible.

They will continue to host programs every week in June. The children’s activities will continue to be every Monday while the adult and teen activities are scheduled for each Wednesday. Performers are scheduled for every Tuesday. They will continue to host activities in July, but the scheduling will be slightly different. Their calendars and program flyers are all posted on their Facebook page. If you would like more information, give the staff at Franklin Memorial Library a call at (478) 237-7791. Have a great day!
