Franklin Memorial Library hosts DIY Porch Sign Workshop

Posted

Jill Carter of Southern Pottery conducted the final of four scheduled workshops as part of the Vibrant Communities Grant awarded to Franklin Memorial Library, with funding from GAC, NEA, and the Mill Creek Foundation. After a long haul of isolation from Covid-19, these workshops have been a vehicle to promote interaction in public places. Library staff’s vision was to offer the community a different medium of art to expand the realm of culture beyond canvas and paint and believe they have accomplished this goal. The community was delighted to participate in each workshop. During this workshop, 20 participants were able to create and design a DIY WELCOME front porch sign.
