Frances Clark Johnson, 93, entered into rest January 6, 2021. Graveside services were held Sunday, January 10, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery in Garfield with Reverend Randy Graham officiating.
Effectually known as MaMa, she was the wife of the late Samuel Johnson. Ms. Johnson was a native of Emanuel County. She was a retired school teacher from Richmond County Board of Education, and worked at Emanuel, Sumter, and Tift counties school system. Ms. Johnson moved here in 1961, and was a member of Curtis Baptist Church and Georgia Retirement Teachers Association.
Survivors include her daughter, Andrea Johnson Minor (John); sister, Robbie Nell Hendley; two grandchildren, Glenn Nash (Jane) and Shaun Brooks (DeAnna); and six great-grandchildren, Danielle, Haylee, Alex, Jackson, Hudson and Harrison.
