Five receive sentences in October term of Emanuel County Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court October 2021 term:

Zachery Lee Collins negotiated a plea of guilty (Alford) on one count failure to register as a sex offender. He was fined $50 and sentenced to 30 years with the first three years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation, provided that the defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Jequazzi Rocquell Greene negotiated a plea of guilty on one count aggravated assault and one count terroristic threats. An additional count of kidnapping was deemed nol pros. Greene was fined $50 and sentenced to 20 years with the first four years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation. Upon the service of three years, the remainder sentence may be served on probation; Provided that the defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Brian Coleman negotiated a plea of guilty on one count homicide by vehicle first degree and one count DUI. An additional count of homicide by vehicle first degree and one count reckless driving was deemed nol pros. Coleman was fined $1,000 and sentenced to 15 years, with the first three years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation; provided that the defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation as imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Jonathan Coney negotiated a plea of guilty on one count obstruction, one count fleeing and attempting to elude and four counts cruelty to children second degree reduced to third degree. Coney was fined $500 and sentenced to 72 months probation, provided that the defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation as imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Jacob Joel lacoviello negotiated a plea of guilty on one count terroristic threats. He was fined $50 and sentenced to five years probation, provided that the defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation as imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.
