The event was sponsored by the Emanuel County Schools "Farm to School" Program. The event was held at the Sports Arena to accommodate all of the displays, agriculture equipment, local farm animals as well as a horse show. For many children this was the first time that they were able to see farm animals up close. Children received information on the many crops and livestock that are so important to Georgia's economy and our food source.
Family Connection provided roasted pumpkin seeds for the students to taste test. They were taught the health benefits of eating pumpkin seeds by high school FFA students and 4-H club members. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students enjoyed the samples and moved on to the many other interesting displays.
