Last week, five members of the Emanuel Retired Educators Association traveled to Jesup to attend the annual district meeting conducted by the Georgia Retired Educators Association. The meeting was held at the Jesup Baptist Church and provided valuable information regarding the new year and officer responsibilities. The theme for the new year is HATS OFF TO EDUCATORS. EREA members attending included Verdell Brinson, Huddie Culbreth, John and Carolyn Derden, and Elease Turner.
EREA’s first meeting of the year will be held Wednesday, September 18, at noon at Swainsboro High School. All retired Emanuel County educators are invited to attend.
