Emanuel Medical Center now offering REGEN-COV Infusions

Posted

Emanuel Medical Center is happy to announce its offering of REGEN-COV infusions to help fight against COVID-19 in the community.

What is REGEN-COV?

REGEN-COV (casirvimab/imdevimab) is an outpatient infusion authorized for emergency use in the treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19. These infusions are given in the hospital, but only take about three hours from start to finish time, meaning you won't have to spend the night at the hospital.

Can I get REGEN-COV?

Individuals interested in receiving the REGEN-COV transfusion must meet the following criteria:

•Symptom onset within the past 10 days

•A positive COVID test result

•12 years old or older

•Weighing 88 pounds or more

•Not hospitalized or requiring any more oxygen than your normal

•High risk (including but not limited to diabetic, BMI > 25, pregnant, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, COPD, asthma, etc.)

If all of the above apply to you, you may qualify for the infusion!

What do I need to do?

Talk to your primary care provider about this infusion and see if Emanuel Medical Center can assist in the set up.
