Emanuel County Superior Court sentences three on pleas of guilt, three on guilty verdicts

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court July 2021 term:
Pleas
Andrew Clay Whitmore negotiated a pela of guilty on one count theft by receiving stolen property and three counts burglary (second degree). He was fined $50 and sentenced to 20 years with the first 2 years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation, provided that the defendant shall comply with conditions of probation imposed by the court as part of this sentence. The defendant did receive credit for time already served.
Jose Francisco Sosa, Jr. negotiated a plea of guilty on two counts theft by taking and one count possession of a firearm by convicted felon. He was fined $50 and sentenced to 11 years. The first year is to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation, provided that the defendant shall comply with conditions of probation imposed by the court as part of this sentence.
Chad Anthony Barrett negotiated a plea of guilty on three counts sexual exploitation of children. He was fined $50 and sentenced to 40 years with the first 10 to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation, provided that the defendant shall comply with conditions of probation imposed by the court as part of this sentence.
Verdicts
Richard Curry Anderson, a repeat offender, was found guilty on two counts RICO and eight counts violation of street gang terrorism, one count malice murder, one count felony murder, two counts aggravated assault and two counts possession of firearm during commission of a felony. He was sentenced to life plus 25 years. The defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Anderson was sentenced by the court as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7 (a).
Travis Lee Brown, a repeat offender, was found guilty on two counts RICO and was sentenced to 10 years. The court sentenced Brown as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7 (a).
Tony Williams, a repeat offender, was found guilty on two counts RICO, three counts sale of cocaine, one count trafficking of cocaine, two counts malice murder, two counts felony murder, four counts aggravated assault and four counts possession of firearm during commission of a felony. He was sentenced to two life sentences plus 45 years. The defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Williams was sentenced by the court as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7 (a).
