Emanuel County sees spike in COVID-19 numbers

According to the county commissioners’ noon update before press time Tuesday, October 27, the total active cases of COVID-19 in Emanuel has increased from 62 to 69 since October 26. Prior to the October 26 report, the most recent COVID update was made Friday, October 16, which indicated a total of active COVID-19 cases in Emanuel County as 53.

The report on October 16 was as follows:

  • 53 active cases
  • 1,280 confirmed cases
  • 1,189 recovered
  • 7,085 total patients tested
  • 119 patients awaiting results

This week’s active count of 69 indicates an increase of 7 cases from the October 26 report, and an increase of 16 cases since the October 16 report was made.

The death count of 38 that was reported on October 16 jumped to 39 as of October 26 and increased to 40 as of October 27.

This week’s most updated information made available on October 27 is as follows:

  • 69 Active Cases
  • 1,369 Confirmed Cases
  • 1,300 Recovered
  • 40 Deaths
