The East Georgia State College Lady Bobcats softball team continued their winning ways with a double-header sweep of Spartanburg Methodist on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
The Bobcats were led in game one at the plate by Jana Crews, Makenzie Wilkerson, Taylor Morgan and Dani Wells. Each of these Bobcats had two hits as the Bobcats amassed 11 total hits on the day in route to a 12 - 4 victory.
On the mound for the Bobcats was Freshman Britney Foster who would get the victory with five innings of work, six strikeouts, allowing four hits and only one earned run.
Game two would see the Bobcats continue their hitting ways with Jana Crews, Alaina Lee and Allana Hooks, all having three-hit performances. Hooks had four RBIs for the Bobcats with two doubles and one single as the Bobcats cruised to a 9 - 0 win.
Madison Poole got the win with two innings of work with Madison Bussell getting the save for the Bobcats. Payten Strickland closed out the final inning for the Bobcats with a 1, 2, 3 inning.
