September 16

During a dispute during the ECI/Swainsboro game, deputy was called to the home side. Upon arrival, complainant stated her and listed suspect got into an argument due to suspect telling her that she needed to go to her side. C/p also stated that suspect put his finger in her face and cussed and threatened her. When speaking to the suspect, he stated that he did in fact tell her to go to her side, but explained that he did not threaten her. He stated that c/p kept yelling and told her she could take that to the other side, to which she kept asking “What you gonna do?” so he pointed his finger in her face and said “I can show you.” While witnesses were trying to resolve the argument, c/p’s friend intervened and continued to yell at officers and witnesses. The friend of the c/p was asked leave because he would not stop yelling. C/p was advised that she did not have to leave but she had to keep her distance from the suspect, but she chose to leave the game.

September 19

Deputies responded to a traffic accident. There was significant damage to the front of c/p’s vehicle. The party that struck the vehicle left the scene. C/p’s vehicle was towed.

Deputies were dispatched to Highway 80 East in reference to a business alarm. Motion was advised to be office glass break with no contact being made with key holder. Upon arrival, all doors and windows were checked and appeared to be secure with no signs of forced entry.

Deputies were dispatched to Marlynn Drive in reference to offender refusing to remove camper from the property. Upon arrival, deputies met with both complainants. C/p stated that offender had been allowed to leave the camper on her property for approx. 3-4 days before asking him to move it. C/p stated that offender moved the camper to another residence on Bonsue Drive. The other c/p told offender he could leave it there for a few days, but it needed to be moved eventually. Both parties advised that the landlord wanted it moved as well. Offender refused to move camper.

Deputy was dispatched to US Highway South in reference to threats made. Deputy had already made contact with offender before about the situation and told him that the officers would handle it and to leave it alone. Offender stated that no one was doing their job so he was going to take care of it himself. Shortly after, victim called 911 stating that someone was at his residence about to shoot him. Offender was arrested for disorderly conduct and was criminally trespassed from the property.

Deputy took a walk-in report from c/p stating that he was on his way to court when he saw offender’s truck parked at a residence on HWY 1 South, which is the residence of c/p’s children. C/p stated that a condition of his bond was to stay away from c/p and his two minor children.

C/p stated that someone transferred $125.25 out of the victim’s checking account, who is his wife, without the victim’s knowledge. Victim called the company, but could not receive and information.

Deputy responded to Pelican Road in reference to an unwanted person identified as a listed offender. C/p stated that he did not want the suspect on her property anymore. Suspect had lived in a camper prior on this property. Suspect was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning CTW and was given a court courtesy ride into Twin City.

September 20

Deputies responded to Harrison Drive in reference to a suspicious vehicle that followed c/p home. Upon arrival, c/p advised that a car was in front of her on HWY 80 East and the vehicle suddenly stopped in the roadway. C/p advised the she went around the vehicle and then the vehicle tried to run her off the road. Vehicle followed c/p through town and turned his lights off once entering Harrison Drive. C/p’s husband confronted that driver after they pulled into abandoned property, but was told by the offender that he was trespassing. Offender was picked up by another vehicle and left.

Deputies were dispatched to Highway 23 South in reference to an abandoned vehicle being left too close to the roadway. Upon arrival, vehicle was found and had been left with the front left tire and mirror crossing the white fog line. Vehicle was also on a hill.

Sheriff Department was called about a subject going down old Nunez Road with a load of pallets and losing one. Deputy found driver and driver stated that a strap had broken and he was going back to get the pallet.

Deputy was dispatched to Highway 1 South in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Driver had fallen asleep at the wheel while southbound on Highway 1 and hit the guardrail, crossed the median into the northbound lane and hit the other guardrail. I-16 towing was called due to inoperable vehicle.

Deputies received a report from the c/p at SPD in reference to harassment. C/p advised that he was dating the witness two years ago, when she was 17 years old and her brother (suspect) found out and was angry. Suspect called c/p’s residence and asked c/p’s wife “if he was home in bed.” C/p was scared for his safety.

Deputies assisted SPD with a 911 hang up call from Oak Street.

Deputies were dispatched to Highway 1 South in reference to a two-vehicle accident. GSP and MCCD were requested and responded for accident investigation. Injured were transported to Augusta for treatment.

Deputy responded to GA4 in reference to a tractor trailer accident where the tractor trailer rear-ended a road paver.

September 22

Complainant stated that she struck a deer when it entered the center of the travel lane, causing minor damage to the vehicle.

Deputy observed a vehicle traveling 68 MPH in a 55 MPH zone, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Driver was unable to provide registration and insurance and advised that the vehicle belonged to his friend. Upon running the driver’s license, it came back with an outstanding warrant. Deputy asked for the warrant to be verified and once done, offender was placed under arrest and transported to EmCo Jail.

Deputy took a report via phone in reference to three damaged mailboxes in Adrian. Victim stated someone knocked over three mailboxes, one belonging to her. Victim stated she believes someone might have ran into them with a vehicle because 2x4’s were also laying in the road next to the mailboxes.

September 23

Deputy was dispatched to Bull St. in reference to a burglary and a stolen dog. Victim stated she left her house for about an hour and when she returned, her back door was open and her Yorkie was missing. Victim also stated the last time her dog went missing, it was posted on Facebook and a lady contacted them that had her dog, and victim believes the same lady might have it due to her boyfriend doing construction work on her home.

Deputy was flagged down by two individuals on W. Ben Blvd. Victim stated he was driving on Hwy 80 West when a piece of metal flew out from under the car in front of him and hit his vehicle. Victim stated after the metal hit his vehicle, it started making a weird noise and his AC stopped working.

Deputy responded to Lambs Bridge Rd. in reference to an alarm call. Deputy encountered two large breed dogs that would not allow him to get out of his patrol unit but he was able to ride the perimeter of the residence and did not observe any doors or windows unsecured. There were no signs of attempted forced entry.

Deputies responded to Nora Blvd. in reference to a dispute. Complainant advised his 15-year-old daughter allowed his mother to enter the home while he was at work. C/p stated the suspect took a military flag, photos and some bandanas that belonged to his uncle. C/p’s wife stated the c/p gave the property to the suspect years ago but was upset because the suspect went to c/p’s house when he wasn’t home.

September 24

Deputies responded to Hwy 80 East in reference to a single vehicle accident with injuries. Complainant advised she swerved to avoid hitting a deer and lost control. C/p was transported by EMS to be evaluated.

Deputy was dispatched to WalMart in reference to a vehicle unlock.

Deputy observed offender walking who was known to have a warrant. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

September 25

Deputies were dispatched to EMC ER in reference to a male with a gunshot wound to the foot. Victim stated he was target practicing and accidentally shot himself when the pistol malfunctioned.

Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 192 North in reference to threatening text messages. Complainant stated he received several threatening messages from offender. Offender is/was dating c/p’s child’s mother and has been sending messages stating c/p is going to get what he has coming to him. C/p just wants documentation in case the situation escalates.

Deputes received complaints about loud music coming from Club Rolex.

Deputies were dispatched to Flounder Rd. in reference to a vehicle with two unknown male occupants stuck in the caller’s driveway.

September 26

Deputies were dispatched to Old Dellwood Rd. in reference to a residential alarm. Motion was advised to be interior. Deputies met with the homeowner and performed a walk through, finding everything to be secure with no noted signs of tamper or forced entry.
