November 1

Victim met with Investigator regarding fraud on his business account.

Victim stated he sold a truck around a year ago and forgot to take the tag off and now someone is using the tag.

Victim stated he got a voicemail on his home phone from AT&T that stated he could get Direct TV for half price for 6 months. He called the number and they directed him to a different number. Victim stated the number and person on the other end told victim he needed to prepay, so he used a pre-paid ebay card and sent $400.

Deputies were dispatched to Waldon Way in reference to a burglary report. Witness stated when he and victims returned, they realized that the residence was broken into. He also stated that they left around 8am and got a call from an unknown male around 9am asking where they were and when they would return to the residence. Deputies observed the scene and found that the front door lock latch was pried/cut with the lock still attached to the door frame. There was a medicine bag moved from the bedroom and found under a table in the living room with 2 bottles that had been opened. A semi-automatic 22 was taken from the residence as well as a lot of frozen food. Two vehicles were broken into and several 12 packs of sodas were taken.

November 2

Complainant from Ebenezer Church Rd. stated he lost his tag.

Deputies responded to New Beginnings in Garfield in reference to offender on a bond revocation for Toombs County. Offender was arrested without incident.

Deputies received a report from complainant in reference to damage to his vehicle from debris on the roadway.

Deputies met with complainant on E. Main St. in reference to an unwanted person. Female stated an unknown male was staying in a storage unit. Deputies observed the unit to be unsecured and announced themselves and pushed up on the unit door. Deputies then observed bedding folded up laying on top of an old stove, along with pillows, several items of clothing, and food items that appeared to have been bought through a jail commissary. Deputies walked the entire storage unit complex but did not locate offender.

Complainant stated she ran over debris left in the roadway right after an MVA involving to CMV’s. The vehicles passenger side tires were busted and had a cracked rim. The vehicle started overheating possibly due to the struck debris.

November 3

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 221 N. in reference to a tractor trailer stuck in the ditch with the trailer blocking the roadway. Deputy met with complainant, driver of the truck, who stated he missed a turn and was attempting to turn around in Norristown Junction parking lot and due to the concrete barricades, the truck became stuck in the ditch.

November 4

Deputy met with complainant at Ga. Equipment in reference to an incident that occurred at railroad tracks on Meadowlake Parkway that involved equipment rented from the business. C/p stated his truck was damaged from a trailer that he rented from Ga. Equipment from it detaching from his truck as he crossed the tracks, at which point the tongue of the trailer punctured into the tailgate of the truck.

Complainant stated a deer hit her passenger door on Old McLeod Bridge Rd., causing moderate damage.

Deputy responded to Harris Ln for a complainant stating someone broke into her shed and took items. Deputy spoke with c/p who stated the residence burned down and she had since then moved, but stored items in the sheds surrounding the residence. C/p stated she used to have a male subject who lived across the road, watch the area after she moved, and believes he was breaking into the sheds and taking items. C/p also stated the male subject would make up stories about how he found people in the sheds and ran them off, but c/p was never able to find any proof.

November 5

Deputies were dispatched to NE Railroad Ave. in reference to an unruly juvenile.

Deputy was dispatched to W. Moring St. in reference to a vehicle unlock.

Deputies responded to Central St. in Twin City in reference to a vehicle that ran into a house. No injuries were reported and complainant stated he was inside and heard a crash, and found a vehicle had struck the corner of his residence. Offender advised that he was working on the vehicle and was test driving it and his foot stuck on the gas pedal. Offender stated he tried to avoid the house but over corrected and struck it. Witness was a passenger and registered owner of the vehicle and stated the driver claimed his foot got stuck and crashed into the home. Offender was given a citation for operating a vehicle while unlicensed and the vehicle sustained major damage with air bag deployed. The house sustained minor damage to the brick wall, cracks, and some structure movement was observed after the vehicle was removed.

Deputies responded to Granddaughter Ave. to assisted TCPD with an irate subject.

November 6

Complainant stated that while at work, one of the managers told her that offender tried to cash a check on her deceased mother’s checking account.

Victim left home around 6am and when he returned around 9am, someone had ransacked his camper and roll-out window on the backside was open. Someone went through the window and went through his cabinets. Victim was missing a change jar with appx. $300 in it. Other victim stated she had an electric sprayer on a porch on a building by the camper and it was gone.

Deputies were dispatched to McGarrh Mill Pond Rd. in reference to a call of subjects standing beside the roadway with shotguns. Upon arrival, several vehicles and subjects wearing camp/orange vests were observed in various locations along the wood line next to the road. It was apparent that the individuals were members of a hunting club running deer dogs. Contact was made with one of the hunters who advised they had been next to the roadway to keep dogs from crossing over the road.

Deputies responded to Union Chapel Rd. in reference to a welfare check on victim. Contact was made with victim and she had slurred speech and stated she may have had a mini stroke, but refused EMS. Other family members were in the home with her. Victim was walking around and was aware of her surroundings. Deputies advised her to call EMS if needed or get checked out for her safety.

Deputies were dispatched to Eloise St. in reference to a fight. Deputies met with victim on Mustang Rd. who stated offenders went to his house asking for motor oil. Victim took both offenders to the gas station to get the motor oil and while on the way back to his house, offenders began hitting him with their fists while he was sitting in his vehicle. Victim was observed by deputies and EMS administered first aid. Deputies then went to Bonnie Rd. to speak with offenders. One offender stated the victim took them to the gas station to purchase motor oil, but denied hitting victim.

November 7

Deputies responded to Northside Beverage and assisted SPD with a single vehicle MVA.

Deputies responded to Scarboro Church Rd. with EMS in reference to a welfare check on a possible suicidal subject. Complainant called 911 advising that his wife was talking about harming herself and wanted someone to check on her. Contact was made with victim and she advised that she was going through a divorce with c/p and the two had been arguing on the phone earlier that day. Victim stated she was not wanting to harm herself and that the c/p was mad because she stopped answering his phone calls. Victim was also questioned by EMS and she did not show any signs of suicidal activity.

November 8

Deputies were dispatched to Marion St. to meet with victim in reference to an incident that occurred on Hwy 80 West. Victim stated she was taking offender to work and he had been arguing with her prior to leaving the residence. Victim stated while still in Swainsboro, offender threw his phone into the windshield of her vehicle, cracking the windshield. Victim stated offender slapped her in the face, but there were no visible marks on her face at the time of the report. Victim was advised of the warrant and TPO process.
