According to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office…

March 8
Deputies responded to Hwy 192 N in reference to a stolen ATV.
A Chevy SUV was abandoned on Hwy 192 S and eft a spot blocking complainant’s view coming out of their driveway. The vehicle had no tag displayed, and was towed.
Deputies responded to Bonsue Dr. in reference to a dispute between grandmother and granddaughter.
EmCo Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Elbert County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a stolen dirt bike that was purchased from someone out of town.
Victim stated he was traveling on Jukes Rd. when he ran into a washout causing damage to his vehicle.

March 9
Deputies were dispatched to W. 4th Ave. in reference to a possible prowler. Deputies spoke with complainant who advised he heard what he thought was someone walking on his back porch.
Deputies were dispatched to I16 in reference to a stranded motorist. It was advised that the caller’s vehicle had run out of gas. Deputies provided the motorist with enough gas to make it to the nearest gas station.
Deputies responded to SPD in reference to a walk-in report of a domestic dispute.
Deputies responded to Pike Johnson Rd. to a two vehicle MVA with no injuries.
Deputies assisted the fire department with a structure fire on Gross-Green Rd.

March 10
Victim backed into offender’s vehicle at Swainsboro Middle School causing moderate damage.
Deputy met with complainant on Long Bay Dr. in reference to a damage to property incident. C/o stated she arrived home to find that someone entered her residence and damaged a TV. C/o further stated she believes her son damaged the property out of spite due to a previous incident. C/o also stated that offender did not have permission to be on her property and would have forced his way in.
Deputy responded to Hebron Rd. in Garfield for a female stating that someone broke into her house and attacked her. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with victim who denied EMS for her injuries. Offender was unable to be located due to fleeing the scene.
Complainant stated offender was renting his mobile home on Ed Youmans Rd., but within the last couple of years. Offender lost his job so complainant tried helping him out by allowing him to keep the mobile home. An agreement was made for offender to pay as much as possible and when he started working again, he could catch the rent back up. C/o stated offender has not paid him in over a year and on one else has been staying at the mobile home, but some dogs the offender left inside the residence, and now the dogs have destroyed the inside of the residence, making it unlivable and not worth paying the money to fix it. C/o stated he sent the offender a written letter back in August of 2020 that he wanted him to get all his belongings out of the mobile home by September, but offender never went to get any of it so cc/o figured that he just abandoned the property. C/o also stated that he just hired someone to start taking the mobile home apart so it could be removed from the property and offender showed up at the residence and started loading up the metal on a trailer that was taken off of the mobile home. Deputy went over to listed residence and spoke with offender and advised him to remove the metal off of his trailer or he would be charged with theft and offender advised deputy that he had already paid c/o $13,000 towards the mobile home in agreement that it was rent to own and he had never been served with an eviction before the c/o started having the mobile home taken apart. Offender stated he is missing several items, including a refrigerator, stove, PlayStation, metal roofing, and movies, and advised he has already filed a report about the items being removed without his permission.
Deputy observed a vehicle traveling 70 MPH in a 45 MPH zone, at which time he initiated his emergency equipment and the vehicle pulled over. Upon making contact with the driver, he had red glazed eyes and could barely hold them open, had slurred speech, and seemed very disoriented. Deputy asked offender if he had smoked any marijuana and he stated he had. Deputy then ran offender’s license to find he was wanted out of Toombs County.

March 11
Complainant stated offender has been texting his phone wanting him to get offender’s wife to call him and has been doing it from several different numbers. C/o has to offender multiple times to quit texting him but he won’t. C/o stated before he called 911, offender went to his residence and sat in the middle of the road and wouldn’t leave, but finally left before deputy arrived on scene. C/o stated he just wants offender to leave him alone and the witness also stated she has filed for divorce and she doesn’t want offender trying to make any contact with her as well.
Deputies were dispatched to Buck Corbin Rd. In Oak Park in reference to a domestic disturbance. While enroute, deputies were advised by 911 that both subjects were mobile and the male subject was attempting to ram and run the victim off the road. While running code, deputies were further advised that the male subject had rammed victim’s vehicle, and were also advised that the victim was attempting to make it to the Red Roof in Oak Park. Upon arrival, deputy made contact with victim while another deputy made contact with offender. Upon further investigation, deputy determined through victim’s statements and physical evidence that the victim’s vehicle had been struck twice.

March 12
Complainant stated offender was doing some work on his house and when he got back home, his new hot water heater was swapped out with an older one.
Offender was located at 5th Ave. and taken into custody for two outstanding warrants.

March 13
Deputies responded to Union Chapel Rd. in reference to a domestic dispute involving the theft of a vehicle. Vehicle was recovered and offender was arrested.

March 14
Deputies were dispatched to Dellwood Baptist Church in reference to an alarm. Motion was advised to the Sanctuary. Deputy arrived as church was opening for service and was advised the alarm had been set off accidentally.
Deputies were dispatched to I16 West in reference to a reckless driver. The call was transferred to Candler County and advised the reckless vehicle to be a tractor trailer speeding and failing to maintain lane.
Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 192 S. in reference to loud music in the area. Contact was made with a gathering of people in the Graymont Park area whom at the time had music playing at a low volume. It was advised there had been subjects that left the area prior to deputies arriving playing loud music.
Complainant stated she and her husband are in the process of a divorce and her husband is refusing to return their child. C/o stated she lives in Clarksville, TN and her husband has the child on Whispering Pines in Statesboro. C/o also stated she was visiting family on Beasley Rd. Complainant was advised of the process for obtaining an emergency child custody order.

March 15
Deputies were dispatched to Maple Ave. in reference to someone looking in a window of complainant’s residence. C/o stated she heard what sounded like someone knocking on a window on the rear side of the residence. Deputies checked the area but did not locate any persons or further disturbances.
