According to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office…
February 8
Deputies were dispatched to a call on Hwy 80 W. about a person ringing the doorbell and looking intoxicated and driving off after it being the wrong address. Deputy was traveling W. on Hwy 80 when the vehicle turned in front of another deputy, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Deputies approached the vehicle to identify the driver due to c/o’s call and the driver was visibly intoxicated.
Deputies received a call at Union Chapel Rd. in reference to a male subject making threats to his mother. Upon arrival, offender was very belligerent towards deputies and subsequently was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct for his actions.
Complainant stated someone is burning something in the woods near Moss Trail and it’s keeping him awake at night.
Deputies served a 10-13 without incident on Laurel Dr.
Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 80 E. in reference to a reckless driver.
Deputies were dispatched to Bus. 1 S. in reference to a golf cart traveling recklessly on the roadway.
February 9
Deputies received a transfer call from Toombs County 911 center stating they received a call from a female subject threatening self-harm. Toombs 911 advised they pinged her cellphone in the area of Wilkes Cemetery Rd. and deputies responded to the area.
Deputy responded to Old Reidsville Rd. in reference to a harassing communications report. Upon arrival, complainant state she had had issues involving the offenders and that they have escalated the harassing communications by having different people ride by her residence and take photos of her and her husband while they are sitting on their porch.
Complainant stated she was at LJR pellet mill when a known driver pulled up stating that she hit her vehicle and then jumped back in her freightliner and left.
Complainant stated offender went on her property in Dellwood and took her mixed breed dog off the chain.
Deputy responded to Eloise St. for to a suspicious vehicle.
February 10
Deputies, along with EMS and first responders, were dispatched to Dellwood Rd. in reference to an unresponsive male.
Deputy made an arrest for revoked license.
Complainant stated that while traveling down Hwy 1 S. she ran over a tire tread in the roadway causing slight damage to the passenger side of her vehicle.
Deputy made a speeding arrest.
Deputies served an arrest warrant on offender on Maple Rd.
Deputy met with complainant in reference to a report concerning a TPO violation that was said to have involved offender. C/o stated offender attempted to contact her through her child, which is a violation of the court order that was served to offender.
Deputies responded to Maple Ave. in Stillmore in reference to a domestic disturbance call concerning two parties. Victim stated she and her daughter had gotten into physical altercation that ensued over a cell phone. Victim further stated her daughter took her phone and after she had gotten it back, her daughter jumped on her and punched her in the face. While on scene, contact was made with offender during which time offender was believed to be under the influence of a CNS- type controlled substance. Offender showed signs of erratic behavior that consisted of compulsive tweaking and disorganized response to questions. Victim stated offender did not live at her residence and stated she wanted to press charges.
Complainant stated a vehicle was taken from his residence and did not have a tag displayed.
February 11
Complainant stated she received a 1099 from Ohio Dept. of Job & Family Services stating she had received $4870 in unemployment compensation. C/o stated she received no such payment and was employed in GA for all of 2020.
Witness stated someone called her mother claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House asking her to send them $600 for a fee to receive lottery winnings her mother supposedly won.
February 12
Deputies responded to Hawhammock Church Road in reference to theft of currency. Report taken from complaint and proper process was explained.
Deputy located a stolen vehicle on US 1 South Bypass while performing routine patrol techniques. Deputies made contact with the offender and placed him under arrest without incident. Offender was transported to the Emanuel County Jail without incident. Vehicle was turned over to owner. Case officer was notified of the incident.
Complainant stated that the victim states he traded a 1998 Tahoe for the offenders 1997 Ford Truck and signed the title over to him. After the trade, the listed offender went to the tag office and applied for a replacement title saying he lost his. Now the victim cannot get the F150 registered.
Arrest was made on I-16 84 West Bound due to possession of drug related items/Narcotic equipment was located in vehicle.
February 13
Deputy responded to Oak Park Hwy for a stolen firearms and stolen wallet report. Complainant later discovered firearms in his home, but was unsure about the whereabouts of his wallet and apologized for not thoroughly searching the home before calling 911.
Deputy responded to Old Reidsville Road in reference to a male that was seen outside a window. Upon arrival suspect was gone in a possible green color truck, no further information at this time.
Deputies were dispatched to Hebron Road in Garfield in reference to an unknown subject knocking on complainant’s door.
Deputies were dispatched to McKenzie Drive in reference to criminal trespass.
Complainant stated she is in the middle of a divorce with the offender and has a Restraining Order on him. On this day while she was eating at Huddle House in Swainsboro some of the offenders kin were riding through taking pictures of her.
Deputies received a call about shots being fired on Canoochee Road near the city limits. Deputies patrolled the area with negative contact.
Deputies assisted GSP with a two vehicle MVA on US Highway 80 West. Minor injuries reported.
Deputies were dispatched to US 1 South near Nunez Lexsy Road where the Victim was traveling when his vehicle struck an 8x16 homemade trailer ramp belonging to the offender. The victim’s vehicle sustained flat tires from the incident.
February 14
Deputies were dispatched to Bishop Chapel Church Road due to a listed vehicle stuck in the ditch on listed roadway occupied by the offender and witness. Driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Deputy responded to the incident on Angelfish Lane in reference to an unresponsive male.
February 15
Deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 1 North in reference to a wrong way driver. The vehicle was advised to be traveling South in the Northbound lane. Responding deputies did not locate any vehicles traveling the wrong way, finding traffic to be flowing normally.
Deputies were dispatched to Gardenia Road in reference to a vehicle stuck in the roadway. Upon arriving on scene, listed vehicle was observed to be stuck in a portion of the roadway covered with standing water. It appeared as though the vehicle had bottomed out due to ruts in the road. Daniels Chevrolet Towing was contacted to remove the vehicle. Vehicle did appear to have received water damage to the interior, as well as minor damage to the rear bumper received in the process of removing the vehicle. At the time it was unknown if there were any further mechanical damages. County Road Department was notified.
