On Labor Day, September 5, 2022, several members of the EFLR SAR traveled to Ebenezer to participate in the annual, Heritage Day Festival, in Historic Ebenezer. This is a free event that is held each year with food, crafts, exhibits, demonstrations, and activities. The Event is proudly presented by the Georgia Salzburger Society and the Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rincon. EFLR chapters participating in this year's event were as follows, Brier Creek, Wiregrass, Little River, and the Henry Laurens Chapter of the SAR South Carolina. Members that attended were Steve Burke, Tommy Chappell, Ted Walker, Neil Flanagan, Woody Woodard, Alton Reynolds, Jerry Lawson, Don Bazemore, Bernard Martin, John Joyner, Emory Fennell, Ben Creech, Alton McCloud, Allen Mincey and Lee Herron. Mincey and his wife Stacy talked with the crowd and did some public education about the revolution. At 10:00 a.m., the Brier Creek militia began firing a three-round volley with the Wiregrass flintlocks that resumed every hour on the hour until 2:00 p.m. The Brier Creek Artillery also fired a three-round volley with three cannons followed on the 2:00 volley with Compatriot Don Bazemore playing taps on his bugle.
