East Fall Line Region Chapters Represented at BOM

Several members of the East Fall Line Region traveled to Barnesville, GA to attend the Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution 2nd Quarter Board of Management meeting held at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, August 27. With President David Ludley presiding, there was over 125 in attendance representing over 35 chapters and over 2,000 members.

Those EFLR members attending were: EFLR Vice President Bill Tankersley, Brier Creek Chapter dual member Alton McCloud, East Fall Line Chapter President Sandy Mercer, Wiregrass Chapter 1st Vice President Steve Burke, Patrick Carr dual member Dess Smith III, and the Four Rivers Chapter dual member John Tapley.

The Brier Creek Chapter received the National President General's Education Outreach Streamer for surpassing the required number of new Colonial Era Historic or Educational programs presented annually for 2021-2022; Wiregrass Chapter received the National President General's Education Outreach Streamer for surpassing the required number of new Colonial Era Historic or Educational programs presented annually for 2021-2022; Bill Tankersley awarded the Bronze Samuel Adam's Congress Appreciation Award in recognition of exemplarily service preparing for the 132nd Congress of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, 2021-2022; Dess Smith awarded the Samuel Adam's Congress Appreciation Award in recognition of exemplarily service preparing for the 132nd Congress of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, 2021-2022; Wilder Smith, Jr. awarded the Samuel Adam's Congress Appreciation Award in recognition of exemplarily service preparing for the 132nd Congress of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, 2021-2022; Dess Smith awarded the Liberty Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters in recognition of outstanding services in the recruitment of new members presented at the 132nd Congress July 12, 2022; Dess Smith awarded the Silver Liberty Medal in recognition of outstanding services in the recruitment of 100 to 199 new members presented at the 132nd Congress July 12, 2022.
