Eagles mark fifth consecutive win for season during Friday night’s homecoming game

David Emanuel Academy Eagles hosted People’s Baptist Academy of McDonough as their homecoming rivals Friday, October 2. The varsity team sent their opponents home after claiming, yet, another victory with a final score of 56-8.

Adding Eagle points to the scoreboard first was Jesse Moore, who’s one-yard run completion was backed by a two-point play from Banks Booth to Rylie Rowland. The score was 8-0.

Racyn Faircloth ran the ball five yards for another Eagle touchdown. Although the two-point attempt was deemed unsuccessful, the Eagles soared above their homecoming guests 14-0.

A 41-yard run play by Moore increased the Eagles’ score to 20-8 and was followed by a successful two-point play completed by Booth and Faircloth for a score of 22-8.

Moore increased the Eagle’s scoreboard numbers by completing two additional touchdown runs for his team. The first being a 21-yard run and the second play consisting of a 4-yard run, reflecting to a score of 34-8. A two-point play from Booth to Faircloth increased the Eagle’s score, 36-8.

Faircloth gained additional Eagle points after running the ball 21-yards. He further backed that play by an additional 11-yard run for a 48-8 score.

Riley Griner completed the next play, a one-yard run, increasing the Eagle’s score to 54-8. Running the final play of the game, Griner added additional points for the Eagles by running the ball for an Eagle victory of 56-8.
