On February 5, 2021 Dwayne Alan Foots was called home to rest. A celebration of life was held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12 p.m. at the Swainsboro City Auditorium. Rev. Leroy Jordan presided and Pastor Nick Robertson officiated. Interment was in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Mr. Dwayne Alan Foots was born on November 10, 1978, in Emanuel County Hospital to Alice Foots of Swainsboro and Edward Wise of Vidalia. At an early age, he joined Coleman Temple Holiness Church, where he served as a junior deacon and sang in the choir. Later, he joined Consuming Fire Ministries in Swainsboro.
Foots was preceded in death by his baby girl, Deorie Foots; brother, Hal Foots; paternal grandparents, Sarah Nell and Adam Wise Jr.; and maternal grandparents, Rev. Clarence Coleman and Rev. Lucille Coleman.
He remains cherished in loving memories by his wife, Carla Foots, sons; Dorein Foots, Caziah Foots, Calynn Foots and Shanjuanyea Wadley; and one daughter, Yiale Foots, all of Swainsboro; parents, Alice Foots of Swainsboro and Edward (Dorothy) Wise of Vidalia; four sisters, Lucy Foots of Lithonia, Raven Wise of Vidalia, Brooke (Jimmy) Hodges of Augusta, and Daniell Foots of Swainsboro; four brothers, Timothy (Angela) Foots of Holiday, Fla., Mark (Bonita) Wise of Suffolk, Va., Dallas Wise of Virginia Beach, Va., and Bryon Foots of Swainsboro; one sister-in-law, Crystal Wilson of Greenville, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Pallbearers were Mike Smith, Clifford Williams, James Ellison, Sergio Washington, Lynn Foots and Brandon Hamiel. Honorary pallbearers were members of Norfolk Southern Railroad. Flower bearers were Swainsboro Class of 1998.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
