This week from May 11 – May 14, the Friends of the Library will be hosting their annual Spring Book Sale with amazing prices!

Franklin Memorial Library and Farm Bureau will host an herbal use workshop on Monday, May 23, at 5:30 p.m. at the Emanuel County Farm Bureau building, located at 320 Lambs Bridge Road in Swainsboro. The event will feature refreshments and presentations made by three local speakers, Jacqui Brasher, Pete Frederickson and Nora Weigl; who will pass along beneficial information on herbs and plants. Brasher will present useful knowledge on growing and cooking herbs, Frederickson, a local farmer, will share information on consumable native plants and how to grow them, and Weigl will give information on a variety of herbs, including health benefits and how to properly use them.
