As we wake up everyday there is always something seemingly more discouraging happening than what happened yesterday. Many talk about the increased violence, political unrest, and situations in governments. Trouble and violence has penetrated our schools and the list goes on. But the word of God warned us of these times. So don't stop doing what is right. Don't you stop doing good. Don't you stop being loving and kind. You’d be a catalyst to spread peace, love and joy. Don't get sidetracked with what's going on.
Everyone needs encouragement because life can get weary in these last days. So what do you do to keep your head up? What do you do to encourage yourself and others. Galatians 6:9 is one of my encouragement scriptures. "Be not weary in well doing for in due season you shall reap if you faint not".(KJV).
So the Lord knew that we would have times of wanting to quit when we are doing good. But let me encourage you that Jesus went about doing good. Things that he did were not so family related but he focused on others. When you help others in need it takes the focus off of yourself and gives you a sense of belonging.
So don't give up. Keep fighting the good fight of faith. Remember the darkest hour is just before daybreak. Just " Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and learn not to your own understanding. In All your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths."(Proverbs 3:5-6). Remember, "What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear and what a privilege it is to carry everything to God in Prayer."
