Tomlinson Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Derek Sconyers, age 48, of Adrian, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. Arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Tomlinson Funeral Home.
Derek was a fun-loving individual who loved making people laugh. He enjoyed playing video games and was a dedicated UGA Bulldog football fan. Mr. Sconyers is preceded in death by his ather, Thomas Watson "Tommy" Sconyers; and mother, Evonne Wilson Sconyers.
Survivors include his aunts, Vicki Goodson (William), Joann Lane, Evelyn Patrick, Betty Jean Andrews (Eddie), and Glenda Riner (William); step-mother, Angelia Sconyers; many cousins and extended family; and close friends, Andy Davis, Trent Baker, and Charlie Stutz.
Tomlinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
