The David Emanuel Academy JV basketball teams played against the Bulloch Academy Gators at home on Tuesday, January 17. The DEA JV girls basketball team played the first game of the night. During the game, Emily McRae led the team with 7 points, Bailey McNure scored 4 points, Payton Peebles and Kaley Flowers had 3 points apiece, Aubrey Scott scored 2 points, and Brylee Beasley had 1 point. Despite their efforts, the Eagles lost 29-20.
Following this game, the DEA JV boy basketball team also put up a good fight against the BA Gators. In this game, Ethan Fields led the team with 20 points, Paxton Dixon had 9 points, Layton Terwilliger scored 6 points, Tucker Free contributed with 4 points, and Mason Williams had 2 points. However, the Eagles fell short with a final score of 46-41.
