DEA Eagles Sweep the John Hancock Rebels

On Friday, January 20th, the David Emanuel Academy Eagles swept the John Hancock Academy Rebels in a night of basketball Stillmore. The JV girls basketball team played the first game of the night. In this matchup, Payton Peebles, Bailey McNure, and Aubrey Scott led the team in scoring 6 points apiece, Kaley Flowers scored 4 points, Emily McRae added 2 points, and Scout Hall had 1 point. The final score of the game was 25-19 with the Eagles on top. The JV boys played next and won with a final score of 35-16. Ethan Fields led the team with 17 points, Layton Terwilliger, Tucker Free, and Paxton Dixon all had 4 points apiece, and Jace Farmer, Sailor Powell, and Mason Williams all had 2 points. Next, the Varsity Lady Eagles continued the night of success by defeating John Hancock 53-45. In this game, Addalyn Terwilliger led the team with 17 points, Molly Hammock scored 13 points, Emma Proctor had 11 points, Aubrey Williams added 9 points, and Kyli Bell scored 3 points. In the last game of the night, the DEA Varsity Eagles sealed the sweep over the Rebels with a winning score of 54-45. Billy Martin led the team in scoring 15 points, Racyn Faircloth had 13 points, Randon Williams scored 8 points, Jesse Moore and Tony Sutton had 5 points apiece, Peyton Lee contributed with 4 points, and Brody Flemming along with Revan Fortner had 2 points each.
