On November 6, David Emanuel Academy competed in GISA Region One Act Play competition. They performed the play, 12 Incompetent Men (and women!) and walked away with a second-place finish. Bryan Beasley, Junior, earned a Region Best Actor Award. This second-place finish earned DEA the opportunity to compete at State Competition. State Competition was held on November 12 in Vidalia. DEA did not place at State, but Jonah Boatright, Junior, won a State Actors Award.
The cast was under the direction of Mrs. Ashlei Boatright. When asked about the play, she said, "I couldn't be more proud of this group of students. They worked hard and it showed. It's a fun group and we enjoy our time together working to get the play just right each year. I can't wait to watch these actors continue to grow and get better each year!"
