David Emanuel Eagles travel to Monsignor Donovan

The David Emanuel Academy varsity basketball teams traveled to Athens to compete against the Monsignor Donivan Rams on Friday, January 27. The Varsity Lady Eagles played the first game of the night and dominated the Rams with the final score being 55-11. Aubrey Williams led the team with 14 points, Addalyn Terwilliger contributed with 12 points, Kyli Bell scored 9 points, Emma Proctor had 8 points, and Molly Hammock, Maddie Perkins, Chirsten McCoy, and Jada Lewis all had 3 points apiece.

Following the girls’ game, the Varsity Eagles faced the Rams. Even though the Eagles were out-matched in size, they managed to trail close to the Rams leading into half time. However, Monsignor Donivan broke away in the second half causing the Eagles to lose 71-35. Tony Sutton and Randon Williams led the team in scoring 6 points apiece, Jesse Moore and Billy Martin each had 5 points, Peyton Lee and Racyn Faircloth both scored 4 points, Brody Fleming contributed with 3 points, and Peyton Templeton added 2 points.
