Compatriot Hu Daughtry of the Mill Creek Chapter in Statesboro traveled to Sandersville on Tuesday, October 12, to present his program to the Fall Line Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution. With Wiregrass Chapter President Wilder Smith, Jr. presiding for President Sandy Mercer, there were 10 in attendance. After the invocation, Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag and the SAR Pledge, dual member Dess Smith III introduced Compatriot Hu Daughtry, retired pharmacists and author from Metter, to present his program beginning with his revolutionary war ancestors. President Smith ended this month’s meeting with the SAR recessional and a prayer.
