DAR Youth Citizenship Winners

Three 8th Grade students have received the Youth Citizenship Award from the Governor David Emanuel-Adam Brinson Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR): Emmi Lai Tyam, David Emanuel Academy; Kanyon Oliver, Emanuel County Institute; and Bryson Tarver, Swainsboro Middle School. They were selected by the 8th grade teachers and students at their respective school for exemplifying the attributes of honesty, high principles, loyalty, unselfishness, leadership, good sportsmanship, and responsibility to God, Home, and Country.
The Youth Citizenship Award is given annually to one 8th grade student at each of the three schools in Emanuel County. The DAR program aims to promote a greater appreciation of the qualities of citizenship among students.
