This week’s Cook of the Week is Raylen Curl. Raylen is the 11-year-old daughter of Wayne Curl & Monica Wheeler. She is a 6th grade student at Swainsboro Middle School, and when she’s not at school, she enjoys learning how to cook. Here are some of her favorite recipes. Enjoy!

Chicken & Dumplings

Chicken of your choice (I use boneless chicken breasts or chicken legs)

1 chicken bouillon cube

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 can EVAPORATED milk; NOT CONDENSED

1 bag of No Yolks dumplings

Salt & pepper

Fill pot with water. Add chicken and bouillon cube. Cook until chicken is done, then shred or cut up. (Save water/broth.) Add all other ingredients to broth and stir well. Place lid on top and let simmer until dumplings are done.

Homemade Hamburger Helper

Hamburger meat

Kraft mac and cheese

1 can cream of mushroom

Cook hamburger meat and drain grease. Cook mac and cheese and prepare as directed. Mix hamburger meat, mac and cheese, and cream of mushroom together. Place in casserole dish and bake at 375 degrees for 15 mins.

Blueberry Muffins

1 package of Martha White Blueberry Muffin mix

½ cup milk

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly spray muffin cups with non-stick cooking spray. Combine muffin mix and milk and stir just until moistened. Bake for 14 to 16 mins. or until golden brown. These are AWESOME with my Chicken and Dumplings!
