Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Cora Mae “Cricket” Lamb Coursey, 80 of Louisville, on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 22, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church with Rev. Nick Hazelton officiating and Rev. Ray Jenkins assisting. CDC guidelines were observed. Interment followed at Sardis Cemetery. The family received friends in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel on Sunday, June 21, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers were Charles Flanders, Wade Bedingfield, Randall Kersey, Russell Moore, Bill Smith, Brent Ross, Tommy Lamb, and Frank Wimberly.

Mrs. Coursey was born March 5, 1940 in Summertown, Emanuel County, to the late Thomas Burnell and Geneva Whitehead Lamb. She enjoyed puzzles, cross-stitching, camping, and traveling. She traveled to many places. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the nursery keeper. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, George Coursey; second husband, Charles Salter; and brothers, George Herald Lamb, Samuel Mckinley Lamb, and Roy Perry Lamb.

Survivors include sons Jeffrey Wayne Coursey of Dellwood and Thomas Lewis Coursey (Myra) of Newnan; sister Ruby Fagler of Dellwood; brother Herschell Thomas Lamb of Pfafftown, North Carolina; and granddaughter Jessica GeorgeAnn Coursey of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
