Connie Waller Sconyers, 71

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Connie Waller Sconyers, age 71 of Twin City, on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at her residence. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 29, at 11 a.m. in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Elder Mike Gray officiating. Interment followed in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday, November 29, one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Mills, James Slater, David Sconyers, Eddie Andrews, Joe Leeb, Scott Livingston.

Mrs. Sconyers was born August 15, 1951, in Dublin, to the late Jerome and Lois Caraway Waller. She was a 1969 graduate of Swainsboro High School. Connie was previously employed by Delores & Woody Shops, Citizens Bank of Swainsboro, and retired from Farmers Furniture Co. She enjoyed gardening and the gardenia was her favorite flower. However, going to Panama City Beach was her favorite pastime, often enjoying a good book, mysteries, thrillers and the occasional romance. Connie was a great cook and loved cooking for her family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sconyers is preceded in death by her brother, Jerome “Jerry” Waller Jr.

Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Carl Thomas Sconyers of Twin City; daughter, Carla Hope Sconyers Riner (Erick) of Statesboro; son, Thomas Ryan Sconyers (Amy) of Twin City; grandchildren, Emily Riner, Lauren Riner, London Riner, and Lydia Sconyers; and extended family.
