City recommends masks be worn in all municipal buildings

In response to the continuing spread of COVID-19 in the community, the City of Swainsboro is requesting that masks or face coverings be worn by all persons entering any municipal building until further notice. Mayor Charles Schwabe commented, "We strongly recommend the use of masks by everyone in all public situations. However, it should be clear that masks are not now legally mandated." The mayor added that the wearing of masks has seemed to be effective in slowing down this virus, and urged everyone to please protect yourself and protect those around you by wearing a mask whenever possible.
