Christmas Project plans discussed during Monday Rotary meeting

The Swainsboro Rotary Club met at The Rustic Grill on November 8 during the noon hour for its regular scheduled meeting. Jessica Peebles, president, called the meeting to order and the club had invocation and recited the pledge and 4 way test. Tanya Lane introduced her guest, Emily Conner. Conner is working with South Auction and is planning to get her real estate license. Also present was a new Rotary Club member, Justin Morris.

The club had discussions about the upcoming Christmas Project that is sponsored on an annual basis and agreed to focus on the needs of families from all the local school and also provide them with meals. The club will also be having a social at the Sudie Fulford Learning Center at the end of November, some details were discussed and agreed on for this event.

Joey Goodman, branch manager at Robins Financial Credit Union, presented the club a $1,000 check from his organization. The club expressed their appreciation for this organization and the contributions it makes to the community.

The meeting was adjourned and the next scheduled meeting is November 15 at The Rustic Grill.
