The Office of Institutional Advancement at East Georgia State College (EGSC), along with the Sudie A. Fulford Community Learning Center, hosted Christmas at the Fulford Center Saturday, November 13. The event was held at the Fulford Center.

The free event gave children the chance to write letters to Santa, make reindeer food, create their own holiday ornaments, and participate in a holiday science experiment with Magnolia Midlands Georgia Youth Science and Technology Centers. Correll Scholars and other volunteers from EGSC were at the event to assist children with their ornaments and experiments.

Three different planetarium shows were shown during the event. Guests of all ages enjoyed the Christmas themed shows including a holiday sing-along show.

“Christmas at the Fulford Center was the perfect way to kick off the holiday season,” said Harley Smith, Coordinator of the Fulford Center. “I am so happy so many people from our community joined us for a fun-filled day. It was a wonderful event, and it would not have been possible without the volunteers that helped make it a success!”

Bob the Bobcat, Miss East Georgia State College, and one of Santa’s elves greeted guests and took photos around the Christmas tree.
