Mrs. Charlie Mae Thomas, age 96, gained her angel wings on Thursday, December 30, 2021, following a short illness. Graveside service was held Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 11 a.m. in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Mrs. Charlie Mae was born in the Blundale Community on February 9, 1925, to the late Charlie and Inez Woods Harris. She lived her childhood life in the Cross and Green Community and later relocated to Kite where she would unite in Holy Matrimony to the late Willie James Thomas. Mrs. Charlie Mae was a member of Bethel Grove Baptist Church where she served as an usher. She enjoyed loving her family and friends which brought her joy. Mrs. Harris-Thomas is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sallie Mae Dawson; son, Jessie James Thomas; grandson, Clay Foster; and granddaughter, Sabrina Green-Smith.
Mrs. Harris-Thomas leaves to cherish her memories with two daughters, Mary Ann Foster of Swainsboro ad Inez Thomas of Kite; six grandsons, Craig (Felicia) Foster, Jermaine Foster, Julius Foster, Roddrigus (Tiffani) Foster, all of Swainsboro, Stevie Thomas of Kite, and Corey Thomas of SC; 16 great-grands; 15 great-great-grands; her loving sister, Elizabeth Wright of Swainsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
